Biography
Dr. Jing Bai is an Associate Professor and the Director of Graduate Studies (DGS) in Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD). She received her Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology in 2007. Dr. Bai’s current research activities focus on nano-photonics, nano-photovoltaics, nonlinear optics, and nanoscale biomedical devices. Her research at UMD has been supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Whiteside Institute for Clinical Research, the MN Drive Initiatives, and the Graduate School of University of Minnesota. She is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE), the Optical Society of America (OSA), and the American Physics Society (APS).
Research Interest
Dr. Bai’s current research activities focus on nano-photonics, nano-photovoltaics, nonlinear optics, and nanoscale biomedical devices.
