Wu Shengchuan has completed his Post PhD at Southwest Jiaotong University in 2015, and Joint PhD at Huazhong University of Science and Technology andNational University of Singapore in 2009. He is currently the Professor of Mechanical Engineering in State Key Laboratory of Traction Power. He has worked as a Principle Engineer and Designer. to develop a 3D fatigue cracking simulation software based on the eXtended Finite Element Method (XFEM) and in-house algorithm Virtual Node Polygonal Finite Element Method (VPM) in Chengdu Dongli Information Technology Co. Ltd from March 2006 to date. He has published more than 60 SCI/EI papers in reputed journals and four academic books including one translation. SCI papers have been cited over 500 times by other researchers. Also, six invention patents and eight computer software patents have been authorized. He is the Co-Editor of International Journal of Mechanical System (IJMS) and Guest Editor of Computing in Railway Engineering.
